The office for cooperation with civil society published a Public call Calendar which covers calls on all three levels: republic, provincial and local. Thanks to application which was developed under a project „Open data – open opportunities“ the Public call Calendar for financing projects and programmes of associations and other organisation of civil society from the budget of Republic of Serbia.
Users can search the Public Call Calendar according to the name of the authority, territory, subject area, who can apply as well as the framework month of the call for applications. The Calendar currently contains 729 planned calls of 175 public administration bodies (17 state administration bodies, 11 provincial authorities and local self-government units), which is almost 90% of the bodies that filled out the questionnaire based on which the Calendar was created. Among the announced calls, there is a Public call for allocation of funds for support to civil society projects in environmental protection in 2019, published by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
The Office for cooperation with civil society is gathering the information on planned calls from 2013 and publishing the Public call Calendar. This year the difference is that the Calendar contains data from local self-governments, what is introduced with Regulation on funds to encourage programs or a lack of funds to fund programs of public interest realized by associations, while the public administration bodies are responsible for the accuracy of the data.
In the next period, publishing data on an open data portal is planned and realisation of Open data Challenge, where stakeholders can propose innovative solutions in the area of transparent financing for budget funds. Similar concept was applied during the project “Climate Smart Urban Development Challenge”, which is implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, together with UNDP and Global Environmental Facility. During the project, a public call was published, which covered innovative and smart ideas for improvement of data management, essential for combating climate change on local level. In the Incubation phase, 8 ideas of municipalities were further developed on technical level, while the implementation is expected in the upcoming period.
