Biography

Dr. Aleksandar Jovović is a member of the Academic Board Man and the Environment of SANU, the Scientific Society of Serbia, the Main Scientific Board for Regulation, Protection and Use of Water, Air and Land and the TMF Council, Belgrade and the Advisory Board of the Center for Cleaner Production. He performed the function of the President of the Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, a member of the Council of the University of Belgrade, a member and chairman of the Assembly of the IMS Institute, a member of the Scientific Council of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia. He is a technical expert for the evaluation of the report in accordance with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and on the list of experts for drafting the guidelines of the Stockholm Convention, the National Expert for Cleaner Production. He is the founder of the Solid Waste Management Association, SeSWA and the founder of the Project for the Establishment of a National Body for Determining the Consequences of NATO Bombing. He is the President of the Commission Z183 for Circular Economics and Waste Management and a member of the Commission A207 for Environmental Management Systems, Institute for Standardization. Member of Working Group 15, Energy, National Convention on the EU. Participant and manager of a large number of general, conceptual and main projects, as well as national strategic documents, regulations and studies in the field of environmental protection, energy and sustainable development. As part of his scientific activities, he publishes papers in journals and at conferences of international and national importance.
