Biography

Mr. Aleкsandar D. Rodić, BsME, MsEE, PhDEE graduated in 1985 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, and received his master and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, in 1992 and 1998 respectively. Since 1987 he is employed at the Institute Mihajlo Pupin Ltd. Belgrade,Robotics department. From 2011 he is Head of Department. Dr. Aleksandar Rodić is the Vice President of the Assembly of the Institute since 2015. He is a Scientific Adviser (the highest scientific degree) since 2009. Professor Rodić’s primary research interests are in the fields of robotics, biologically inspired dynamic systems, automatic control, stability, artificial intelligence, human-machine interface, intelligent systems, renewable energy and environmental robotics. He is author of more than 180 scientific publications, member of Editorial Boards in several international scientific journals, member of the Scientific Committee of the RAAD (Robotics in the Alps-Adriatic-Danube Region). He is a visiting professor at the University of Reunion (France) 2004-2014 and at the Anhui University of Technology (Republic of China) from 2014-2019. Prof. Rodić is a lecturer at the Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade as well as at the University of Belgrade. He is a member of the Parent Board for Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies in the period (2011-2016) and for Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Software from 2017-2022 with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. Since 2021, Dr. Rodić is a member of the Council for Smart Agriculture and currently its vice president with the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Serbia. Dr. Rodić is the coordinator of more domestic and international scientific projects. He is the holder of several awards, in 1999 for the best engineering achievement of young researchers (CIP Belgrade), 2012. Manager of the Year for the application of science in Serbia (Club of Journalists of Chamber of Commerce), 2016. Award for the best technological innovation in the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia), 2016. In 2017, he received a special award from the Government of the Chinese province of Anhui for the contribution in scientific cooperation between the Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia.
