The National Greenhouse Gas Inventory of Serbia was established in the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), in accordance with the Law on Climate Change.
The National Inventory Document (NID) is a part of the National Inventory Report on Greenhouse Gases, which is comprised of two parts:
- Common Reporting Tables (CRT) play a key role in accurate and consistent reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. The Common Reporting Tables serve as a standardized framework that allows countries to report their emissions data in a clear, transparent and comparable manner. They are organized into a series of tables and sub-tables, each designed to cover specific aspects of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.
- The National Inventory Document (NID) contains a detailed description of the national methodology, approach and data used by the country for the preparation and submission of the National Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. The NID includes a description of national methods for estimating emissions and removals, information on applied emission factors and models, data on sector coverage, assessment of data quality and availability, assessment of inventory uncertainties and limitations, plans to improve the inventory.
